Education is crucial for the social and economic integration of future generations in Somalia, particularly for those affected by conflict. DBG emphasizes education to ensure continuity in learning and development for these children.

What we Do
DBG’s education programs cover emergency and long-term initiatives, including teacher training, construction and rehabilitation of school infrastructure, establishing libraries, and providing resources to under-equipped schools. We aim to promote equal access to education, empowering youth to become active community members and change agents.

Our Interventions
Our interventions focus on expanding safe education access by reducing barriers to school enrollment. This includes providing cash grants for free school enrollment and retaining teachers, ensuring safe drinking water, and promoting child hygiene through WASH clubs. We also provide psychosocial support for vulnerable children, including those with disabilities.
