Governance and Leadership
DBG is governed by a General Assembly, Board of Governors, and a Senior Management Team (SMT), all composed of Somali nationals. The elected board members are responsible for policy formulation and guidance, while the SMT, led by the Executive Director, handles day-to-day operations and project implementation.

Guided by our core mission, Daryeel Bulsho Guud (DBG) tirelessly pursues sustainable development and humanitarian aid in Somalia’s post-conflict society, achieving remarkable milestones:
- Education for All: Since 1992, over 121,000 children and youth empowered with quality education, bridging the gaps caused by conflict.
- Healthcare Access: Mobilizing healthcare to over 125,000 individuals through innovative mobile clinics and training health workers for community resilience.
- Nutritional Support: Combatting malnutrition by providing essential nutrition to more than 700,000 vulnerable individuals, ensuring a healthier future.
- Economic Growth: Facilitating economic stability by aiding 700,000 citizens in income-generating activities, fostering skills and leadership.
- Safe Shelters: Enhancing the dignity and stability of 92,736 displaced persons by constructing transitional and permanent shelters.
- Clean Water for Life: Advancing hygiene and sanitation, our WASH programs have reached 768,182 beneficiaries, promoting public health and well-being.
