Governance and Leadership
DBG is governed by a General Assembly, Board of Governors, and a Senior Management Team (SMT). The elected board members are responsible for policy formulation and guidance, while the SMT, led by the Executive Director, handles day-to-day operations and project implementation. Board members and staff are committed to participatory development and support for marginalized groups within the society. The board and the SMT members have vast experience in the humanitarian assistance and developmental field, having worked across the Eastern, central and Horn of Africa as expatriate in humanitarian service with international and UN agencies and as civil society activities with the support from governments and international donors.
