DBG successfully rehabilitated 8 classrooms in 7 schools in Daynile and Kahda districts of Banadir region. These schools hold immense significance as they serve IDP communities and vulnerable populations offering educational support to out-of-school children, addressing school dropouts and ensuring the retention of students at risk of leaving school prematurely. Through DBG’s renovation efforts, the educational institutions have been revitalized by creating a conducive learning environment that foster growth and development for the students and the schools have been able to absorb more school aged children for learning.
By rehabilitating these schools, DBG aimed to empower students to reduce barriers to education and to promote educational inclusivity. DBG firmly believes that education is a fundamental right for every child, and DBG is working towards creating a more equitable society.
DBG renovated classrooms that have created an inviting and conducive learning environment, inspiring student engagement and improving their overall learning experience. Similarly, safety measures and structural upgrades have ensured a secure and comfortable space for students, promoting concentration and their well-being. The students are also motivated to attend school regularly and to stay enrolled due to the appealing and safe learning environment.
DBG remains committed to the cause of education and will continue to work towards transforming more schools and improving educational opportunities for marginalized communities. Together, let us build a brighter future by empowering children through education and creating inclusive learning environments that inspire and uplift. We are grateful for the support and collaboration of our partners, donors, and the local communities, whose collective efforts have made these renovations possible.
